20.08.2022I thought the film was pretty good. I saw Illang before I saw jin-Roh and from reading the comments and IMDB reviews you would think this movie was the worst movie known to man and worse anime adaptation, I've seen worse. I usually think anime lovers and weebs are overly critical, but they do have a point. I saw Jin-Roh and yes while that one is miles better, I did enjoy Illang. Don't get me wrong the films pacing was all over the place and it's political message was too in your face. its ok, I enjoyed it. Itwas well shot, I enjoyed the action. The acting was good for the most part (Looking at you Choi Min-ho, he's an idol so that explains it), had good action sequences. I just wish it was better written and had a plot that was parallel to the original and echoed the originals message. It's a dud by a good director but to say it's the worst film ever made is wrong.

18.08.2022I love the anime. Like really love it, and I've watched around 150 of them. I can guarantee it will trash the anime, already they've completely changed the context by making it far more futuristic. I hate to be a pessimist but EVERY live-action anime is inferior. The advantage of anime is you can creat different moods and atmosphere with the art style and movements that only animation can achieve, it's unique and why so many people watch anime. I'd bet my whole record collection it will be crap compared to the anime.

17.08.2022The ending is the core of the story. Remake destroyed it for a cookie cutter media news, all arrested ending. All they wanted was the cool costume. Movie doesnt deserve the WOLF in the title as there is no wolf in this movie. Its a happy ending turd.

16.08.2022Just wanna point out this is actually Illang: The Wolf Brigade, a Korean adaptation of the Japanese source material. This is important because Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade already exists; it's a Japanese anime film actually set in the original setting of occupied Japan.
