05.10.2023The most flexible and OP mix in my playthrough was the sword bard 8 /thief 4 + the ring that let you cast enchantments as a minor action. On the last battle, end of first turn of my main character, every enemy was confused or dead except for the big one (spoilers) on half HP and challenged to a duel.

04.10.2023i just finished my lae'zel playthrough and i had a really good build for her. it really tried to capture the old school githyanki fighting style. for those that don't know Gish is a term that comes from old rulebook githyanki that could fight with both sword and spell. so this build did have a lot of requirements. I was just a eldritch knigt 5 with the rest of the levels in wizard until i got to act 3 and could get the items that allowed me to change the build (that said, eldritch knight 5 with the rest of the levels in wizard and the legendary sword from act 1 is strong, but thats not the build) so yeah, the build does not work until act 3. that being said, you need the str gauntlets from house of hope, you need the illusion/enchant ring from chult and the arcane acuity helm from act 2. the constitution amulet is really good for this build but i wouldnt call it necessary. so if you needed that amulet on other characters you could, just know that this build is better when it has it simply because it lets us dumpster and redistribute more stats. once you have your items you want to dumpster your strength, wisdom (the sword gives you advantage on saving throws so i found having no wisdom was fine, plus the astral knowledge makes up for the loss in perception/survival each day) and also your con if got the amulet. you then want to max int, if you dumpstered con get a high char, if not get a decent char/con balance around 14 in both with what remaining points you have going into dex to boost our initiative. now for levels. start as fighter for the profs go to 3 to get eldrtich knight. now pickup 1 level in bard, the important ones here are hideous laughter and dissonant whispers, they're both enchantment spells and thus can be cast with a bonus action thanks to our ring. the rest is up to you but i reccommend getting your utility spells like longstrider and featherfall here. the rest of your levels go into wizard, now when chosing a subclass, my first thought was enchantment but the ability we get there is a class feature and not a spell so we can't bonus action that and really, we want all our spells to be bonus actions. illusion is nice, it gives us see invis and a slight bonus to minor illusion. but the really good one is divination. so, this is a bit of a bug. but when you cast say a big aoe spell like confusion, your reaction message will pop up for every single enemy that resists giving you the option to alter their rolls via portents, now if you chose to give all of them the exact same roll, because these reations are all happening at the same time you can just give them all for example a nat 1. the opposite is also true if you're doing a big cleave attack you can make everyone hit recieve a critical hit. divination is (literally) broken. from here, you just want to get your key wizard spells, haste, counterspell, shield and misty step as well as just every single illusion and enchantment spell you can get. most of these are concentration based, so in combat you attack someone, boosting your spell rolls because of the helmet then you bonus action your spells. through this we get a quasi multi attack because we can attack and then mockery/whispers which is good dmg + utility. your spell levels can still get pretty high due to eldritch knight being a half caster and both bard and wizard being full casters.
couple of side notes, 1 if like me you're PLAYING as lae'zel than when you get to the zythisk in act 2. you can pass some skill checks and gain the ability to use your illithid powers as a bonus action, now i am not going to tell you to use or dont use illithid powers BUT, bonus action mind blast makes this build really good. i am not sure if its a bug or intentional but every time i had lae'zel do this as a side character she would auto fail the skillchecks and only lose stats, again i dont know if intended or bug. lastly, in my testing i discovered that whilst this is an awesome build for lae'zel or any other gith. technically ascended vampire astarion does it better, you just transform him into a githyanki and he does this build same as before, but with +10 necrotic dmg. which made me realise that he technically does every build better.

04.10.2023Sporekeeper armor gives a whole team haste with no downside. Don't feel like that gets talked about enough

04.10.2023Not really a multiclass but an archery battlemaster actually seems like the funnest way to play an archer but everyone sleeps on making fighters into archers. They can get a ton of feats, dual weild crossbows and one shot multiple targets in a single turn.
Derrick Hotard
04.10.2023School of swords bard + fighter is better than with rogue. Getting archery fighting style and either battle maneuver or champion is worth way more than 1 extra arrow and sneak attack

04.10.2023Thanks for the video! It gives me great ideas to built (not sure if those will work hehehe).
I am using a Paladin 2 with Bard 9 currently, not sure if this is a good build though I like it. Is there anything to do to make it more awesome?

04.10.2023Ive been brewing with an idea to make Coffeelock work from DnD and i think it could be effective if you have all of your party members go 2 levels of bard for song of rest which would give you 6 short rests per long rest. Ideally i think to maximize the pay of you would want the whole team to be coffeelocks. However i think 2 bard, 3 warlock and 3 sorcerer as a base to beable to stack up sorcery points and spell slots would be a good starting point then you could try to diversify your party from there. Maybe have 1 member use the remaining 4 levels in paladin, another one could take more levels in sorcerer for damage, one could take 4 levels in cleric or 4 more in bard for support. Of course if you dont care to have all of your team using this strat then all they need is the 2 levels in bard so you maximize your short rests. Also something im not certain of but i think you could do this with all of your party members, including those at camp, which would give you significantly more short rests, i think up to 11 which means you could REALLY capitalize on the ability to store up points and spell slots for a big battle by just switching out 1 party member each and using the song of rest and converting your spell slots. From that perspective it might be best to have 3 members speced with the bard warlock sorcerer base and having your 4th just speced with the 2 bard since there will be 1 member who wont get the benefits from the extra song of reata anyway.

04.10.2023I started as a Rouge but I'm soo stupid that on my first level-up i unknowingly hit the multi class and thought i was picking a subclass as a Cleric 😂. I then proceeded to unknownly only upgrade the Cleric the whole time, so i wanted to play as a Rouge and ended up playing as a Cleric 😂😂.

04.10.2023I've played recently an interesting build, which isn't super powerful by itself, but can be very good with a right gear. 7 Eldritch Knight, 3 Ranger Hunter and 2 Transmutation Wizard (for bonus to Alchemy). I called this a Witcher build.
MrNooby
04.10.2023Got a great build I came up with myself. 1 cleric in War or Light Domain, 1 fighter, 6 bard in college of swords, and 4 in rogue as thief.
It sounds janky, but if you start with rogue to start (important, you get one less proficiency otherwise) then cleric, then bard all the way to 6 for bonus attack, then rogue to 4, and finally the Fighter level. Feats are sharpshooter and ability score increase.
Both rogues and bards get expertise, so you get four of them in total, cantrips to get advantage in all charisma skill checks, jack of all trades from bard for half your proficiency bonus in any skill you're not proficient in, level 2 spells as bard to give you advantage in ANY skill check in the game, two attacks as level 6 bard, a few minor spells from the cleric level such as sancturary and divine favor (both bonus actions), and also flourishs.
War domain clerics can use their bonus actions as extra attacks, and Light domain can use reaction to give attackers disadvantage – your pick which one you like best. The bard flourishs can be used to strike two targets at once, or be used on the same target, so you can still dish out a lot of damage, while having two bonus actions to use for spells or cunning actions for sneak attacks. The final level as fighter is just for the archery combat style.
While the build is weaker in the early game, you get access to rogue, bard AND cleric dialogue options (bonus points if you're romancing Shadowheart, pick Selune as deity) and you end up with advantage on every skill check in the game, the only ones you don't get advantage on are attribute checks that have no skill tied to them, which are very few when it comes to dialogues.

03.10.2023modded games: put max class to twenty. Best thing I've found is 11 lvls fighter for the 3rd main attack + rogue 3 for the extra bonus attack. Stack items that bost damage on hit etc…
MythCraft
03.10.2023been running life/divination on a few playthroughs its amazing at all levels in the game when you want to support your friends that make interesting.. choices. althought its a 1life 11 div variant that allows for the important cleric spells and life passive bonus healing and proficiencies while still having all the firepower and flexibility of a wizard.
but seeing as how ive seen this build literally no where else other than the bg3 builds discord in a small ammount of conversations it makes me wonder if this is where this channel finds these video/build ideas from or if the game is so massive that theres just so many people coming up with things it was inevitable multiple people thought of the same thing, this build was a bit counter intuitive on paper for most people

03.10.2023what do you call a party of all bards? Special Forces. All bards multiclassed for specialties like pewpew bardlock, giant weapons bardlock, barlidan, and clebardric? Seal Team 69.
Nick K
03.10.2023People keep selling these bard/rogue/ranger multiclassed dual crossbow builds as "so many attacks per round, wow!". And keep forgetting that fighter at level 11 gets Improved Extra Attack. Meaning 3 attacks per Action instead of two. Which, combined with Action Surge, Haste, Bloodlust elixir and all other shenanigans gives you more attacks per round than any double bonus action slashing flourish multiclassing ever gets.
As a fighter you Bonus Action is almost always free for that offhand attack, you get arguably better attack options from Battle Master Maneuvers than bard Flourishes. And, if you get illithid Mind Sanctuary thing, your Bonus Action technically becomes Action = 3 attacks.
So, let's see. Action + Action Surge + Haste + Bloodlust + Bonus Action morphed into Action via Mind Sanctuary = 5 Actions. 5 Actions * 3 = 15 Attacks per round. + Maneuvers.

03.10.2023Had a simple but quite a fun rogue build for my Astarion. Thief 9, Champion 3. Main gameplan was to lower Crit range as far as possible, then use two weapon fighting and thief's bonus action to Crit fish and apply sneak attack once you got the Crit. With the gear I had by end of the game, I was able to Crit on 17s, 16s if hiding (or there's the Crit elixir which would lower both of those values by 1 additional step). At Crit range of 16, you have just under a 50% chance to Crit on 1 of the 3 attacks assuming all of them hit. The DMG isn't as insane as a sorcerer nova build. But it's super reliable. When you Crit with the sneak attack I was getting on average 70ish DMG from the one attack. I was using stuff like bhaalist armour, risky ring and ring of regeneration comboed with broodmothers revenge to boost up the average attack DMG. Very fun and being thief allows you to be very versatile in combat (applying poisons/drinking buff potions to suit the combat you're in)
Spoilers for Act 3 Boss fight Below

That versatility was able to pop the Crit elixir and purple worm poison to fire a dragon slaying arrow on the final boss fight. Opened up the fight by doing a quarter to that dragons health with the single arrow lol. Again not quite as insane as nova build (which I'm assuming could prob one shot the dragon). But doesn't require any resources for the most part. So you'll just be criting constantly thru out the whole fight.

29.09.202310 lvl Bard college of swords (duelist) + 2 lvl Paladin. At lvl 6 you have additional attack, at lvl 10 you pick Haste and Counterspell. You a full spellcaster with controll spells like command, and one 6 lvl spellslot and two 5 lvl spellslot. If you pick legendary rapier you would have additional bonus attack with it. So you start a fight with Haste. Now you have 5 attacks with 5 smites (6*, 2-5*, 2-4*) it`s 29d8 radiant damage. Also you a nice range attacker, you have ability to attack with 2 arrows in diffirent targets or in one. So you can shoot 8 arrows in round and still have that additional mele attack with bonus action. Also you have a maximum charisma, so you can do all conversations, and high dexterity and you can stay hiiden, lockpick every chest and so on. And you don`t need to do much in feats, just maximum your charisma and pick Lucky feat. Now you can play exact like Jack of all trades, you can do anything and do this great. And also you can have 24 AC with only medium armor. With diadema of magic synnergy you will have +5 to dammage with every weapon attack. And i pick ring that deals 1d4 psychic dammage while you concentrating.
Bill Wumsen
29.09.2023Mistake by Axiompoetica or rather the Game there; sneak attack does not trigger by other shots anymore in this build, you have to use it manually Rogue is a waste there even with the one extra extra attack. And for DHCB the offhand takes advantage from DEX anyways (should not be intended but it works).
Rainbear 00
29.09.2023So, I don't know why nobody talks about it, but you can just go 10 levels in swords bard and 2 in paladin to get armor proficiency, shield proficiency, a few spells like sanctuary, a second fighting style, and smite… with your 10 levels in bard… you just get 6th level smites. Plus, you get any 2 spells of 5th level or lower from bard so you can haste. The build has incredible potential for support spells, insane damage, and fantastic survivability.
Michael Bayley
29.09.2023The other option with bard thief is to take 2 levels of paladin and use titan string bow im doing this with phalur aluve and club of hill giant strength in my melee slots this lets you invest full dex for bow and get the extra damage from phalur aluve aplied to your ranged weapons you can even teleport with flourish and smite with your offhand attacks
Alejandro Duron
29.09.2023One thing I've still yet to see on a video is draconic sorcerer 2/ wizard 10 for full spell casting. I've picked this for my playthrough for the extra AC and constitution saving throw proficiency. As long as you pick utility spells for sorcerer, you can dump everything into Intelligence and play wizard with the benefits of access to every wizard spell through scrolls and twin spell through sorcerer, you just loose out on quickened spell, but personally I think it's a great combo because all wizard subclasses finish at level 10. You can use a level three slot for sorcerery points and recover it with arcane recoverery to get more. it makes you a little more tanky overall with the ability to twin haste.
Michael Bayley
29.09.2023Elderich knight 8 with thief 4 has some potential to you can double cantrip into double attacks this way
Debuyarou
29.09.2023Support build: Life Domain Cleric 1/Sorcerer 3/ Lore Bard 8. Twin Haste and then focus on healing. Help with Cantrip like Fire Bolt now and then. Start with Sorcerer for Constitution Saving Throw. In first turn Action Twin haste on my 2 DPS, and then Bonus Action Mass Healing Word to give everyone Bless and Blade Ward (The Whispering Promise ring and The Reviving Hands or Hellrider's Pride early). Feats: War Caster and Resilient in Wisdom. Stats: 8 Str 14 Dex 16 Con 12 Wis (14 With Feat + Auntie Ethel Hair) 8 Int and 16 Cha. When you later get Amulet of Greater Health you can respec and and put Con on 8 and have Wis on 16 because of Saving Throw or Dex for Initiative. And pick Alert Feat instead of War Caster.

29.09.20237 monk (open hand), 3 rogue (Thief), 2 Druid (Spores). With the 1d4 fire damage gloves and Kushigo boots (Wis damage to unarmed). 2 attacks plus two flurry of blows and the free unarmed per round so it's basically 7d10 melee +7d4 fire +7d6 necrotic (spores) +70 or so raw from added ability modifiers. Plus unarmored you will have over 20m of base movement.

28.09.2023Two Weapon Fighting is useless for Dual Crossbows which may be bad news… BUT! The good news is that you don’t get the bonus damage because you always have the bonus damage without Two Weapon Fighting.

28.09.2023totem barbarian 6, thief rouge 3, battle master fighter 3
This mainly takes advantage of the aspect of the mare with totem barbarian, and the bonus action dash from rouge.
which aims to give you unlimited free extra hit point generation (at max level 24 every time you dash) with totem of the bear rage almost making you never take any real damage to your health.
the battle master fighter is in there just because I like fighter.

28.09.2023(This multiclass literally fully relies on a joke item to gain full use. The 'Eternal Carafe of Wine (Or Sometimes Acid)' item that allows for hp manipulation with no cost.)
I use a really fun barb rogue multiclass. The base idea for the multiclass is simple. Aspect of stallion for 24 temp hp on dash, and cunning actions for dash to be a bonus action instead. You can do absolutely reckless things and get away with it because you have a source of temp hp at the cost of a bonus action that you can cast every turn. Go 6 levels into barb and then 2 levels into rogue next, taking bear totem barb with aspect of stallion and thief rogue. For 24 temp hp every turn, with bearheart for all dmg resist (except psychic) for an ehp of 48 per turn.
For my build specifically, I go barb 8 (bear + stallion) and rogue 4 (thief) for one asi and the feats gwm and polearm master (3 atks per turn), then take skinburster (+2 flat phys dmg resist PER HIT) and adamantine scale mail (+1 all dmg resist) for (dmg resistance, 7 flat dmg reduction, and 24 temp hp per turn, at the end of turn 1). If you take a consistent 100 damage every turn: At the end of turn 1, you take 19 damage. 2)13 dmg. 3)7 dmg. 4)1 dmg. Turn 5 onwards will be 0 dmg taken. You can also just skip having to rage by having warding bond on, which further halves dmg (which is the unimportant part in this case, since you take 0 dmg already)
So after the entire duration of rage, with 100 incoming phys dmg per turn, you have only actually taken 40 actual hp damage assuming all hits land. If its all magical dmg, of 50 per turn for 10 turns. . .you take ZERO damage.

28.09.2023For Axion's build what is the gear? Or is it any that gives you some sort of advantage?

28.09.2023Guys, a powerfull combination for crowd control is 1-2 lvl in Cleric domain and the rest in Sorcerer (draconic or tempest), and the magics Hipnotize, Hold Person and Hold Monster. The itens for this build is (full char and Wisdom) is any item that give +1 to magic dificult, this means your spells are more dificult to enemies resist. Guys, this realy trivializes the game. Raphael fight with this build in tactician looks too easy, everything you need is use Cc's spells and let your other character deal all the dmg. Remember, you can only have 1 spell concentrated, so, this build focus in control the batle, not deal dmg. I took out my shadow hearth with this build from my party because the game becamed so easy.

27.09.2023I found 8 Swords 4 Champion to be the best Bow-bard build so far, especially since he brought up Risky Ring, that gives you all the advantage you need so invis becomes pointless. You lose Action surge which really hurts your burst potential, and the fighter subclass accuracy is really handy.
The thief build gives you more sustained dps but, with 3 short rests….. we can action surge every fight, and you get bonus attacks off AS which you don't get on the thief build….
You're trading 1 offhand attack per round for higher accuracy, higher crit chance, and better burst damage.
sneak attack is alright but the damage scales with rogue level not character level so eeeh.
the thief build only gives your hasted nova round 10 attacks instead of 13…. combined with lower accuracy, you really start to feel the difference after a few fights. 1 extra offhand attack isn't cutting it. I've been thinking about even swapping to a large crossbow instead of dual wielding since I'm getting towards the end game…. one lets you make an attack with a bonus action…
That build literally says 14 attacks……his 8 bard 4 thief somehow got action surge math…..
I tried a few different builds and 6/3/3 6/4/2 variations…..but you really need that 20 dex…..
(My supporting party includes a 8 Sorc/2 Warlock/2 Fighter, 12 Battlemaster, and 12 Storm Cleric)

No, it does not seem like it should be concentration.
You command the enemy to take ONE IMMEDIATE action. Concentration means you are concentrating on something over multiple turns.
Command takes place within a single action and doesn't last after that. It's not an extended effect.

27.09.2023Curious if anyone has seen the synergy between spore druid/monk/rogue. The spore damage from the symbiotic entity and manifestion of body are yielding 26 -52 when paired with flurry of blows. 7 levels monk, 2 levels druid for spore druid, and 3 rogue for bonus actions. This is the most stacked monk I have created yet. I got the idea from the Druid, Barbrian builds from this channel.

Feats: heavy armour master + War caster
Gear: Duellists Prerogative
Armour of Persistence
The rest is whatever but congratulations you now have an almost unbeatable character, enemies want to deal damage to you? Good luck, my character hasn't taken any damage since he was level 7 before the good fear! If you're hit you will kill, compell everything to challenge you, ensure you have longstrider and go nuts giving everything opportunity attacks.
Other nice spells: Shield, Counterspell for ranged and longstrider
Other nice gear: boots of persistence (goes nicely with longstrider)
Helldusk Gloves because we all like more damage and the spellcrux amulet to swap in for that beautiful T6 spellslot
